What each style suits

Full color

The whole side is your color, shaded front to back, with diagonal accent slashes near the front. The lettering is white. It suits caterers, detailers, and event businesses that want the vehicle itself to read as the brand.

Two-tone

The lower half of the side is your primary color, split from the white upper half by an accent line. The name sits in the white; the phone and website sit in the color field. It suits HVAC, plumbing, and moving companies that want a strong brand color with a clean, readable top half.

Color block

A diagonal color panel covers the front of the side, with an accent slash and a color band along the bottom. It suits garage door, roofing, and contractor brands that want a bold front corner and a large white field for the name and phone.

Stripe

A color band with a thin accent pinstripe runs the length of the side above the name, with a thin line low on the body. It suits electricians, glass and window companies, and anyone who wants the van to look marked as a fleet vehicle while most of the paint stays white.

Minimal lettering

Text on the factory paint with one thin color line along the lower edge. It suits trades that want a tidy, quiet look: locksmiths, cleaners, inspectors, and pest techs whose customers prefer discretion. It is the layout that converts to door magnets or cut vinyl with the least change.

Layout checklist

  1. Put the name and phone high on the wall. Parked cars, gear, and the tow vehicle block the lower third.
  2. Make the phone number large enough to read across a street. It is the line people act on.
  3. Keep the services to one short line. A trailer is read from the side of the road, not up close.
  4. Leave the door, hinges, and latches out of key text. Ask the shop where they fall on your trailer.
  5. Put the website and phone on the rear ramp door. Drivers stuck behind you face that side. The preview shows the side wall.
  6. Match the trailer to your truck and yard signs, so people link all three to one business.
  7. The federal marking rule, 49 CFR 390.21, applies to the self-propelled vehicle, which is the truck, not the trailer. See our enclosed trailer graphics guide for the details and sources.

Questions

What is the best design for an enclosed trailer?

The one people can read from the road: a large name, a large phone number, and one line of services, high on the wall. Full color gets the most attention; minimal lettering costs the least vinyl. Preview the styles with your name below.

Does this work for cargo trailers?

Yes. The template is a single-axle enclosed cargo trailer side wall. The layout ideas carry over to larger enclosed trailers; your shop adapts the proof to your size.

Can I see my trailer and my truck together?

The free preview on this page shows the trailer plus a cargo van and a pickup in the same style, and a matching yard sign.

What do I get for free?

24 watermarked previews: 6 styles on a cargo trailer, a cargo van, and a pickup, and a 24x18 yard sign. No account needed.

Are these print-ready wrap files?

No. They are concept proofs. Show them to your wrap shop. The shop builds the print file for your exact year and model.

Will my business name be spelled right?

Yes. All text is drawn from what you type. No AI image model touches the lettering.
