Partial van wrap ideas, drawn with real lettering
A partial wrap covers part of the van in color and leaves the factory paint as part of the design. Here are five layouts in three styles from the free tool on this page. The businesses are fictional. Enter yours below to see all six styles on your van.

5 sample layouts
Each sample is a cargo van concept rendered by WrapMockup. Names, phone numbers (555-01xx) and websites (.example) are made up.

What each style suits
Swoosh
Color rises from the lower edge toward the rear in a curve, with an accent line on top of the curve and a band across the front fender. It suits pool, lawn, and cleaning companies that want motion and color without covering the whole side.
Two-tone
The lower half of the side is your primary color, split from the white upper half by an accent line. The name sits in the white; the phone and website sit in the color field. It suits HVAC, plumbing, and moving companies that want a strong brand color with a clean, readable top half.
Color block
A diagonal color panel covers the front of the side, with an accent slash and a color band along the bottom. It suits garage door, roofing, and contractor brands that want a bold front corner and a large white field for the name and phone.
Layout checklist
- Decide what stays white. On a partial wrap the factory paint is part of the design, so plan it like a color.
- Put the name where it reads best. The tool fits the logo inside one color field, so it does not cross a band edge. Ask your designer to do the same with the name and phone.
- Pick a primary color that contrasts with white for the colored area, and an accent that contrasts with the primary for the dividing line.
- Keep the phone number on a plain field, not on the edge of a curve or band.
- Lower panels collect road grime. A darker color low on the van hides it better than a pale one.
- Plan for the other side and the rear doors. The preview shows one side. Ask your shop to mirror or adapt it.
- Ask the shop how the design ends at the wheel arches, door handles, and seams for your exact model. The concept is a proof, not a print file.
- For cost, get quotes from local shops. Our van wrap cost guide lists prices that four shops publish.

Questions
What counts as a partial van wrap?
Any design that covers part of the body in printed or colored vinyl and leaves the rest in factory paint. On this page that means the swoosh, two-tone, and color block styles. The full color style covers the whole side.
Which partial style should I pick?
Swoosh for motion and a lighter look, two-tone for a strong brand color with a clean top half, color block for a bold front corner. Preview all three with your name below.
Do these work on a colored van?
The templates are white cargo vans. On a colored van the white areas in the preview would be your paint color, so check that your text contrasts with it.
What do I get for free?
24 watermarked previews: 6 styles on a cargo van, a pickup, and a box truck, and a 24x18 yard sign. No account needed.
Are these print-ready wrap files?
No. They are concept proofs. Show them to your wrap shop. The shop builds the print file for your exact year and model.
Will my business name be spelled right?
Yes. All text is drawn from what you type. No AI image model touches the lettering.
